“Yeah I have been to Romania” he said
“So do you know the national dish for Romania?”
“Well, there are a lot of national foods but the one that is the most popular food people like to eat is Salmai”

“Do you know what’s the main playing stripe for the rugby world cup team?”
“Yeah it’s a yellow and red and blue stripe on the side.”
“What are some festivals in Romania?” I asked
“Well there is a music festival, music rock and also BESTFEAST.”
“What Continent is Romania on?” I asked
“Its Europe” Tyler replied. Salmai

Where The Heck Is Epsom?

“Where The Heck Is Epsom?”
Epsom is a suburb of Auckland. It is located approximately 3 kms south of Auckland city center.

Epsom is named after a horse racing track and a town in England.
From 1840s - 1890s Epsom was it’s rich pasture land.

Keep Your Eye On The Ball

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.

For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is Force There will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford was the founder of the Ford Motor company and the sponsor of the assembly line and the inventor of the Ford motor car.

Most people credit Henry Ford for inventing the automobile. The fact is he didn't, but Henry Ford held many patents on automotive mechanisms.

Milestones: In 1863 Henry Ford was born on July 30th in Greenfield Township, now Dearborn, Michigan. In 1879 he left his family farm for Detroit to work in machine shops. In 1888 he married Clara Bryant and moved to an 80-acre farm in what is today Dearborn. During 1891 he secured a position as an engineer with the Edison Illuminating Company.
In 1893 Edsel Bryant Ford, only child of Henry and Clara Ford, born.
During 1896 Henry completed his first automobile, the Quadricycle, and drives it through the streets of Detroit. He ended his employment with the Edison in 1898 to devote full attention to the manufacture of automobiles. In 1899 he was made chief engineer and partner in the newly formed Detroit Automobile Company.
In 1908 Ford began manufacturing the famous Model T and in 1910 he began operations at a factory in Highland Park, Michigan.
In 1913 Henry Ford introduced the first moving automobile assembly line at Highland Park manufacturing facility.

The invention of the car was important because it can get people to work and back to home. If you don't have a car there is plenty of other types of transport which you can use that are also cars, eg: taxi.

A Tall Tale

On a fine Saturday morning me and my little brother were playing rugby league on the backyard and said this getting boring” and guess who came to play with me and my brother Benji Marshall! and Billy Slater. Benji Marshall was on my team and billy Slater was on my little brother’s team, Benji Marshall said to go to his car so we could drive to mount smart stadium. when we arrived there me and Benji kicked of to my brother and billy. my little brother had the ball and I ran right up to him and did a big hit.

and My brother lost the ball and I picked it up and billy was right on the try line and I got pass him and got a try and Benji converted the ball billy kicked it of then Benji had the ball and he got hit and then I had to run the I got hit.the It got to the final play we were close to the try line Benji passed it to me and I did a little kick and Benji ran and dived for the ball and got a try. at the end of the game me and Benji WON!!! 24-16 we went to KFC and we all had a double down burger an we went home and said good bye.
