In The Beginning

This term we have been learning about space here is some of my writing and a drawing about the Earth and the solar system.
In the beginning the surface of the Earth cooled to rocks over the the core.Most of the water on Earth water vapour in the atmosphere turned into liquid water.Then it fell as rain,then the oceans were created,and the world that we know is taking shape.

‘My Dream Outta This World Holiday’

Brring.... screamed the alarm. I tried to ignore it. I wanted to stay in my dream. My dream ‘outta this world’ holiday

POOF! I woke up in a strange planet with a space suit then I looked around and their was nobody. “HEYYYYYYYY! Is anyone their!” I said. I saw rings floating around the planet I was playing around and I jumped and I stayed in the air for a while then I realized there was no gravity the I herd someone calling my name “Samson!Samson!”then I went to the place where i herd my name then i saw it was a scientist then i asked “what is this planet” the scientist replied “its Saturn”.

I tried to take the helmet off but the the scientist said “NOOO.. Don’t take it off, you won’t be able to breath. In space their is no air like on Earth.” then i didn’t try to take it off. I asked him “can you give me any information about Saturn” the scientist replied yes, well this planet is the second massive planet and is the sixth planet from the sun.the rings around this planet are rocks.

Romanian Conversation

“Hey Tyler I’m going to Romania have you been to Romania?” I asked
“Yeah I have been to Romania” he said
“So do you know the national dish for Romania?”
“Well, there are a lot of national foods but the one that is the most popular food people like to eat is Salmai”
“thank you”
“Do you know what’s the main playing stripe for the rugby world cup team?”
“Yeah it’s a yellow and red and blue stripe on the side.”
“What are some festivals in Romania?” I asked
“Well there is a music festival, music rock and also BESTFEAST.”
“What Continent is Romania on?” I asked
“Its Europe” Tyler replied. Salmai
“Thanks for all the information Tyler” I said.
“Your welcome” he smiled.

Where The Heck Is Epsom?

“Where The Heck Is Epsom?”
Epsom is a suburb of Auckland. It is located approximately 3 kms south of Auckland city center.

Epsom is named after a horse racing track and a town in England.
From 1840s - 1890s Epsom was it’s rich pasture land.

Keep Your Eye On The Ball

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.

For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is Force There will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.
